Our dispatch center answers all 911 calls
for Putnam County and dispatches for several emergency
service agencies including EMS, Rescue and all five fire

Construction is nearing completion on Putnam County's new Emergency Services Building which will house 911, Fire, Rescue and EMS. The new facility is being constructed at 699 S. Willow Ave and completion is expected in June. A new County Health and Election Commission building is also being contructed on the same property.
The
Upper Cumberland Homeland Security Region has developed
two "Mobile 911" trailers that will be deployed
in the case of a PSAP failure in the 15 Upper cumberland
Counties. One of the trailers is stationed in
Putnam County and the other one in Overton County.
The trailers were paid for by a Federal Homeland Security
Grant. They are equipped with everything needed to
operate a mobile PSAP, including 911, CAD, GIS mapping,
satellite data links and wireless phones and data.
Putnam
County has developed a new Emergency Notification
System to notify you of disasters, hazardous weather
or emergency situations that affect the lives and
property of our citizens. The system includes "Reverse 911" and also breaks into all AM, FM radio and cable TV channels. To

We have compiled most of the county subdivision
plats recorded since 1991. The house numbers have already
been assigned to most lots and are available in Adobe
Acrobat files to be downloaded or printed. To search

Putnam County has a new GIS Mapping system.
A GIS Council made up of the 911 Director, Putnam Property
Assessor and Cookeville Codes Director oversee GIS operations
and make sure data is kept up to date. To see screen

We
have created a Master Street Address Guide that can
be used to search and verify if an address actually
exists or to verify city and zip code for mailing.
The database contains all physical addresses in Putnam
County. This can be very helpful when trying to determine
if an address is actually in Putnam County. Click

Several wireless carriers have already
deployed Putnam County with Phase II location technology.
This allows us to verify where the cell phone call is
